Trimay® manufactures wear plate using patented Submerged Arc Bulk Weld Overlay Technology.

Our plate is manufactured in standard sizes but can be made in custom dimensions to reduce off-cut waste and is readily formable by rolling or breaking. We can also custom design our alloy blends to suit a customer-specific application.

T172 GMAW OAW is an iron based steel alloy with a near nanoscale (submicron) microstructure that features extreme abrasion resistance with high toughness, high volume of hard phases and superior high temperature hardness.

T172 is an alternative to chrome and tungsten carbides.

Chromium - T138

T138 is a iron-based steel overlay wear plate solution with a unique proprietary chemical composition designed to withstand moderate direct impact and mild-to-moderate wear environments.

T138’s overlay is a chromium carbide alloy well suited for tough jobs which demand more protection than what any steel alone can offer.

T138 wear plate offers a low friction, impact-resistant surface which protects against abrasion and wear, while maintaining a hardness similar to that of annealed steel.

Chromium - T156

T156 is an iron-based steel overlay wear solution with a unique proprietary chemical composition designed for moderate wear environments with moderate impact.

T156 is similar to Trimay’s® T138 with its smooth surface and chemical make-up; however, extra Chromium and Molybdenum makes T156 more resistant to wear than the T138.

T157 is an iron-based steel overlay wear solution with a unique propri- etary chemical composition designed to withstand heavy wear envi- ronments exposed to mild-moderate direct impact.

T157 is the top-performing chromium carbide wear plate on the market.

It has a smooth surface, like T138 and T156 overlays, plus extra Chromium and Manganese gives T157 up to 30% more wear resistance than the T156.
